SUNDAY MORNING
SUNDAY SCHOOL is available for students Sunday morning at 9:30 am. JMBY (6th-8th graders) and MBY (9th-12th graders) meet together for fellowship and study. They also plug into Sunday services by helping in the nursery, serving as greeters and sometimes make breakfast for other classes.
WEDNESDAY EVENING
JMBY AND MBY meet at 7:00 pm. Wednesday evenings are focused on study, learning and growing in faith. Youth Paster Cord teaches through the seven foundations of faith every year. It’s a great time of fun, fellowship and prayer (and snacks).
OTHER ACTIVITIES
CAMPS for Junior and Senior High are looked-forward-to adventures in June every summer. Jr. High Camp is at Sky Ranch Cave Springs, Quapaw, OK and Sr. High is at Glorieta Camp, Glorieta, NM. Check out this link for more information or to register for camp – sdcmbyouth.org.
SDYC – Southern District Youth Conference is our annual youth conference, hosted in a different town in the area every November. It’s a weekend retreat for Senior high students to recharge, reconnect with fellow believers and recommit to living out their Christian faith in an ever-changing world. Click here for more information or to register – sdcmbyouth.org.
FUNDRAISERS – the youth hold two fundraisers a year – a chili-feed in January and a Fair Supper during County Fair week in the summer.
SERVICE projects are encouraged for our youth. The annual service project is “Trick or Treat so Others Can Eat” where Hillsboro youth groups team up to collect food for the local food bank.
COMMUNITY is also important. MBY and JMBY youth can join in other, outside of church, community building activities like the Senior Night Celebration, eating out at Roy’s BBQ, movie nights, black light 9-square tournaments, etc.
